Appearance: Kotaiso is a very tall, pale Human male with shoulder length black hair. His skin is very fair and is made much more apparent by his long, black hair with bangs that are parted to the side and covers parts of his face. Green eyes pierce anyone who makes eye contact with Kotaiso and a large, vertical scar runs from his forehead down to the top of his cheek over his right eye from one of the many battles fought in his life.

Including the one over his right eye, scars adorn Kotaiso's body. He has several on his left wrist, over his heart, and a very large scar that runs from the middle of his chest to just above his belly button.

Though he is tall, Kotaiso isn't as muscular as most other Warriors of his race and gender. He is strong, but very thin; however, the muscle he does have are incredibly defined.


Personality: When he was younger, Kotaiso was the average Human boy: vibrant and fun-loving, willing to learn and always ready to prove himself any way he could.

After a series of many different events that have led him to the current point in his life, Kotaiso has changed drastically. People who are unfamiliar with him will often see nothing more than a hot-headed, arrogant, angry, and selfish individual. He has little care for what happens to anyone, including himself. The only person (or creature in this case) that Kotaiso seems to care for is his companion and best friend Chicken.

He takes it as a personal insult if anyone talks bad about Chicken and is willing to put his life on the line to ensure the creature's safety. Some view him as sort of an oddball because of the fact that he speaks to Chicken like the creature is an actual person and can apparently understand Chicken's subtle movements and way of speaking.

Despite his anger-prone, violent, and selfish attitude, Kotaiso is incredibly loyal. If he is a member of something or in a relationship with someone, he will honor his role until the very end.


Backstory: Kotaiso was born in the village of Nyl, a small village that once resided in Elwynn Forest, southwest of Grand Hamlet (now known as Darkshire and the surrounding area Duskwood). His Mother was Alma and his Father was Ingo, the Mayor of Nyl.

While growing up, Ingo Ta'kas did his best to raise his Son in his shadow: hoping that when he died one day, Kotaiso would take up the mantle of leadership and run Nyl. However, things didn't go the way Ingo wanted. Kotaiso was rebellious to his Father's wishes and demands, often wanting to go out and explore and satisfy his thirst for combat training. The frustration of his Son not obeying him led Ingo to begin drinking and that in itself led to him abusing both Alma and Ingo verbally and physically.

When Kotaiso was five, his Mother gave birth to a Sister: Lucrecia. The little girl was born with an abnormality within her mind when probed by the Priests of Stormwind who had helped Alma in delivering her Daughter into the world. Upon further investigation, it had turned out that Alma had psychic abilities and could make things move with her mind and also read minds. Being a newborn, she had no control over the ability and being the age that she was born into, no one knew exactly what it was she had and were dealing with so the villagers of Nyl branded her as a Witch and began to shun the Ta'kas family.

When they first met, Kotaiso fell in love with his Sister and promised her that he'd do anything and everything in his power to make sure she was always safe and happy.

It was a day in Summer that made Kotaiso first begin to doubt himself and his ability to protect those he loved. His Grandparents had come to visit and they had made Kotaiso go outside to pick flowers in the garden while his Mother shopped from the farmers selling their produce in the village square.

When Kotaiso returned with flowers, intending to split the bunch of between his Grandmother, Mother, and Lucrecia, he heard his Sister screaming in their house. Racing up the stairs, he came across a scene that made him freeze with fear: his Grandparents were mutilating Lucrecia by shoving a knife in between the young girl's legs. Kotaiso was grabbed from behind and thrown down the stairs by his Father, suffering a deep cut on his head and causing him to black out. When he came to, he was afraid for his life and therefore said nothing when his Grandparents and Father came up with the lie that Kotaiso had fallen down the stairs by himself and that while taking Lucrecia out for a walk in the forest, Ingo and Kotaiso's Grandparents were attacked by a vicious Bear; Lucrecia taking the brunt of it.

A year later, on Kotaiso's eighth birthday, he was given an egg by his Mother as the village celebrated the boy's birth. During the festivities, the village of Nyl was one of the first Human settlements razed by the invading Orcish Horde. The villagers were all slaughtered and the village itself set ablaze. The survivors of the initial attack were all dragged to the village square where they were executed; Kotaiso being witness to his Father, Mother, and Sister's murder as their blood splashed all over him. Kotaiso himself was beaten viciously but managed to summon up the strength and courage to squirm out of his would-be killer's grasp and run for his life into the surrounding Elwynn Forest.

Upon escaping, Kotaiso found a tree to hide behind and he began to lose himself in sorrow as rain poured down upon him. Up until that point, he had forgotten all about the present his Mother had given him earlier in the day until it began to hatch. It was then and there that Kotaiso first met Chicken and made a promise not only to himself, but to the family and friends that he had lost: he would live.

For several years, Kotaiso and Chicken would travel the forests of Elwynn, doing what they could to survive. When Kotaiso reached the age of 20, had had spent twelve years lost in the wilderness before finally coming across the now-rebuilt Stormwind City. The Second War had just come to an end and Kotaiso had signed up with the army, thinking it the best way to get some money and start a new life.

Kotaiso rose through the ranks quickly, eventually being commissioned an Officer and leading the soldiers under his command to several victories. While serving in the army, Kotaiso was introduced to the Holy Light and he became a devout follower. This in itself led him to meet the love of his life: Verilyn. Kotaiso was instantly captivated by her beauty and intelligence; she the same with him. They became quick friends and eventually fell in love.

Kotaiso and Verilyn went everywhere together when he was not on duty. They taught each other many things and became what each other lived for. Eventually, the pair was married in the Cathedral of Light; supported by many of their friends.

Life was perfect.

But unfortunately, it would be stripped away from Kotaiso in nearly a heartbeat.

Kotaiso was sent by Stormwind High Command to Alterac Valley to aid the Dwarves in taking it from the Frostwolf Clan of Orcs that claimed the territory belonged to them.

While fighting, Kotaiso met an Orcish Lieutenant in the Field of Strife in battle. The two were evenly matched; neither able to get the upper hand on each other. Suddenly, however, Orcish reinforcements appeared and attacked the Human. He was able to kill a few of them, but Kotaiso made a fatal mistake while defending himself: he had turned his back on the Orcish Lieutenant. The Orc didn't hesitate and stabbed his sword through Kotaiso's back, cutting up before pulling the blade free. Stunned, Kotaiso used the last of his strength to twirl on his heel and sever the Orc's head with his blade before he fell to the ground and passed out.

His comatose body was recovered by the Stormpike Dwarves and returned to Stormwind for medical assistance. Kotaiso spent the next three weeks in a coma.

When he awoke, he was told by his closest friends that while he was out, Verilyn had become increasingly worried and set out to find him. She travelled all the way to Alterac Valley herself where she was ambushed by the remaining Orcish forces that still dwelt there and cut her to pieces. She was carrying Kotaiso's child.

Upon hearing this news, Kotaiso was devestated. He blamed himself right away before shifting the blame to all of his friends for not preventing her from putting herself in danger. He lashed out in anger and killed them over the course of several months, one by one in increasingly brutal fashions.

He would cause himself self-inflicted injuries, hoping to die so he could be with Verilyn; including one even trying to cut out his own heart. Every time he would fail.

As time went on, his misery turned to sorrow, sorrow to anger. His anger led him to murder anyone he came across; however, there were some who witnessed the murders and viewed Kotaiso as a Prophet. They thought that he was doing the will of the Old Gods and destroying all the people in the world who followed the Holy Light; something Kotaiso had stopped having faith in the moment he heard of his Wife's demise.

Kotaiso killed because he was angry and needed an outlet, but decided that his new followers ideas and beliefs were intriguing and decided to plug them with propaganda; promoting the power of the Shadow. He gathered a Cult following and led them, ordering mass murders and executions of all those who opposed them.

Eventually, Kotaiso became bored with the charade and ended up killing all of his followers and exiled himself from contact with anyone.

Recently, Kotaiso, still haunted by his past, returned to civilization. He no longer killed at will, nor did he feel anything but anger. He had managed to close up his emotions to the point where he became an emotionless shell. He had dreams that Verilyn returned to him, claiming to have been resurrected and when he would wake, he would have trouble discerning whether or not they were real.

These dreams still haunt him to this day. However, he knows that he has to do something with his life, whether he feels it necessary or not otherwise he'll just end up with a broken promise to his Sister and all those he lost that day on his eighth birthday. This has led him to join up with the Order of VII, after hearing whispers about them while roaming the streets of Stormwind.
