Rinay's Return

Rinay has finally returned from her travels and has taken up her place at the head of the Order once more. She brought with her a new collection of books for the library and several trunks full of odds and ends to study at the manor.

Also returning with her was a familiar face from years past, a member of the Order who had forsworn ever returning due to his beliefs. Rodney Moirighton, a paladin, makes no secret of his liking for Rinay... or of his displeasure at most of what happens within the manor halls. For his own reasons he has returned, and it is anyone's guess as to what he intends to do with his time while within the Order.

Ruebi has disappeared, and while no mention has made of her being banished from the manor, by all accounts it would appear that is what has happened. Xaloch still speaks of her with fondness, and there are no signs that he has given her up in any way, but Rinay refuses to speak of her and simply changes the subject if any questions are asked as to her whereabouts. Rumors abound that Ruebi was in fact seen by a handful of members at the manor a few weeks after she went missing... but the ones who saw her claim she seemed afraid to enter the manor and refused to come out of the shadows. Just as quickly as she came for her visit, she disappeared again, and has not been heard from again since.

Rinay's return was not unplanned, however her hold on the Order was shaky at first, only growing stronger with Xaloch backing her authority. The fact that the members of the Order would rather follow Xaloch or her cousin have only enraged her, and she appears snappish at best. Rumors have run rampant through the Order that there may have been a love triangle between Xaloch, Ruebi and Rinay, but Xaloch and Rinay have denied this vehemently. Rinay especially seems disgusted by the thought of such a thing. The rumors have done their damage though, and even the paladin Moirighton seems to be wary of Xaloch now. While Rinay struggles to control the Order from within, forces from without are attempting to destroy it. The guards of Stormwind have stepped up their watch in the wake of the new activity in the city, and it is no longer safe to run operations there without a strong backing. In addition to the worries of the guard, several other groups have made a move for the control of power that Rinay would like to have for the Order, and there are rumors of war breaking out soon with at least one of the groups...
