re: The Vargulfr

Full name: Vargas Blackwood
Race: Human/worgen cursed
Age: 51
Family: Blackwood
Height: Average
Weight: 156 lb.
Appearance: He's much older looking, with bands of grey in his shoulder length trimmed hair. Wrinkles abounding on his face and hands, especially around the eyes, and over his left eye is the faintest scar, though you'd never see it because it blends so well with the wrinkles. He's got a mustache and a small beard, both well trimmed. His cloths are loose, even baggy because of his old atrophied muscles. Walks with a limp on his right leg
If he's in his worgen form, it will almost always be supported by his shadowform, elongated and warped inside the field of black energy. The body actually fades and becomes indistinguishable from a silhouette, his bright red eyes and the scar over his eye the only visible feature.

Personality: Like day and night, the difficulty is figuring out which is real or not...

Backstory: He's grown up and seen many of the wars and atrocities that have happened. In his youth he fought in the first war, leaving his homeland of Lordaeron to defend against the influx of the orc savages arriving in Azeroth. A debilitating wound to his right leg that he'd suffered at a very young age forced him to treat wounds on the sidelines, healing through bandages at first, then by lessons through the holy light. Once the war was over and the debates began on what to do with the Ocs, Vargas was outraged they weren't all put down like common animals, and sided with Genn Greymane of Gilneas.

In the second war he served as both medic and war psychologist, aiding soldiers through their physical and mental wounds. He gave up halfway through the second war though, becoming disillusioned at how many soldiers were in fact scared as little boys. This caused him to become discharged after it was found that he was administering alchemic compounds to increase the vigor and augment the mentality of many of the soldiers that saw him. He left and returned to Gilneas instead of Lordaeron, a deep resentment building in him, not directed at people, but how weak he saw their minds. Retiring then, Vargas spent most of the years up to the Worgen outbreak experimenting in safety behind the freshly built Greymane Wall. He determined to find and understand the depths the human mind really went too, his ethics loosening in pursuit of his prize. In the last year before the outbreak, he would kidnap merchants, soldiers, citizens and children and put them to insane tests of desire and determination, many being released from his cages broken and functionally debilitated.

When Krennan Aranas sent the otherwise upstanding alchemic psychologist Vargas Blackwood a letter, begging him to head to Gilneas city to aid in some sort of viral outbreak, he did. He had learned much, perhaps it was now time to put it to good use...then the curse came.
